Social and Email Just Got Easier

At Informz, we talk a lot about cross-channel communications and the importance of integrating social media with your email marketing efforts. Incorporating the two together can extend the reach of your message by 24% on average! Who wouldn’t want to do that?

At the 2012 Informz User Conference this week, we’re unveiling some new changes to the Informz email marketing platform that are going to make extending the reach of your message even easier. New social posting features in Informz now allow you to seamlessly share your email campaigns to Facebook and Twitter as soon as they are published.

How does it work? It’s pretty simple. During the setup process, you’ll notice a new “Social Posts” section. Select the accounts you want to post to and craft the message you want to appear before the link to your mailing. Don’t worry about counting the characters; we’ve got that taken care of based on the type of account you’ve selected. We’ve even reserved enough space for your shortened URL. Then, after your mailing is created and before you hit “send,” you can preview your social posts and modify them if you’d like.

The coolest thing about this new feature (besides saving you time!) is that it ties into the robust reporting features in Informz. A new section has been added to the Mailing Activity Report, where you can view how many people have clicked on the link in the social posts, and when they’ve clicked. Now you can have true insight into your social media followers – not just your email subscribers – which in turn will help drive your social media strategy.

In the end, you’ll cut one more thing off your to-do list and have a better understanding as to what your fans and followers are interested in. For more information on this new feature, contact us today!
